Haiku by Ashoke Tanti (Part- 2)

11.

A rain drop
On quivering guava leaf
Proud sunlight glitters.

12.

A rain drop
On dead bird’s beak
Grasses are dry.

13.

Lightning flashes.
Birds still.
Gloomy sky cries.

14.

Partly sunny morning.
Wind undecided,
Tossed a butterfly in the sky.

15.

Rain drops
Sudden hoot of owl
Silent scary night.

16.

Rain flows through grass
A frog under the blade
Alone.

17.

A rain drop
On my dreamy eyes
Distant smell of wet lips.

18.

Rain stopped
A silver beam beside the pillow
A pang in my heart; your face.

19.

A tall chimney
Blinks red eyes
To all the residents

20.

From the old closet comes out
A rejuvenating cold sari
Of my long died mother.

21.

The earthen Bankura horse
Sitting in a room corner
Watching jumps of Olympic horse.

22.

She left.
Her voice decided
To live with me.

23.

Once upon a time
There was a pretty princess.
It’s the best story ever known.

24.

An ardent rain drop
Like a distant love.
Your selfi in my mobile.

25.

Chickens are waiting patiently
Inside a broken bamboo cage
For their preordained destiny.

26.

The train passed very fast
A tree expressed unnecessary joy
By swaying it’s young branches.

27.

The light stream breaks dense heart.
It spreads through the virgin sky.
I can feel the warmth of the sun.

28.

Last message from the sun
Strummed through the trees –
The soft sky blushes.

29.

The sun approaches the horizon.
An immature seed is dreaming
For the first feeling of the sun.

30.

The glass-heart shattered
Still, a butterfly is drifting
Under the bright crimson sun.

31.

Two friends are sharing a silence
Beside a cold quite pond,
Watching their still reflections.

32.

The earth knows
Deep rooted intensions
Of each individual tree.

33.

A red bindi on toilet glass
Always glowing possessively –
Reminds your long absence.

34.

The moonlight and a serpent
Sneaked in my dark room,
When I was dreaming about you.

35.

The world is full of
Fragile dream toys.
She cries, as she breaks one.

36.

A giant wall stands upright
Between me and the mountain spring.
The bubbling sound poured my heart.

37.

A lone candle is playing
With the vibrating shadows,
And slowly burning itself.

38.

Knights are fighting in front of
Two red eyed chess players
Silent night is waiting for the outcome.

39.

Only one star is twinkling
In the misty morning sky,
Like your enticing eye.

40.

The silver drops kiss you,
Green grasses lift their head,
The wind sings silently, please stay.
