হাবিব আনিসুর রহমান। গল্পকার, ঔপন্যাসিক। জন্ম মেহেরপুরে ৬ জানুয়ারি। বাবা এস এম হাবিবুর রহমান, মা বেগম আশরাফুন্নেসা। পড়াশোনা কুষ্টিয়া সরকারি কলেজ ও ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়। চট্টগ্রাম কলেজে অধ্যাপনার মাধ্যমে পেশাজীবনের শুরু। প্রফেসর, অধ্যক্ষ হিসেবে অবসর নিয়েছেন। সাহিত্যে স্বীকৃতি স্বরুপ পেয়েছেন জীবননগর সাহিত্য পরিষদ পদক (২০১১), কাঙাল হরিনাথ মজুমদার পদক (২০১৫)।
একসময় গল্প লিখেছেন সাপ্তাহিক বিচিত্রা,পাক্ষিক শৈলীতে, দৈনিক আজকের কাগজের সাহিত্য পাতায় ( ৩টিই অধুনা বিলুপ্ত)। এখন লিখছেন প্রথম আলো, সমকাল কালের খেয়া, যুগান্তর, কালের কণ্ঠের ঈদ সংখ্যা ও সাপ্তাহিক সাহিত্য সাময়িকীর পাতায়। পাঠক সমাবেশ থেকে প্রকাশিত গুলেনবারি সিন্ড্রম ও অন্যান্য গল্প, উপন্যাস আমাদের নতিপোতা গ্রামের ইতিহাস গ্রন্থদুটি পাঠকের কাছে সমাদর পেয়েছে। হাবিব মুহূর্তের ভেতর পরিব্যাপ্ত জীবনকে স্পর্শ করে তাকে আখ্যান-বর্ণনার ভেতরে এনে একটা কাঠামো দেন এবং মুহূর্তকে একটা পূর্বাপরতার সূত্রে গ্রথিত করেন। মোট প্রকাশিত বইয়ের সংখ্যা ১৬ ।

Habib Anisur Rahman is a story writer and novelist. He was born in January 6, 1954 in Meherpur. SM Habibur Rahman and Begum Ashrafunnessa were his parents. He Studied at Kushtia Government College and Dhaka University. He began his professional life as a teacher in Chittagong College. He retired as a professor and Principal of a government college. He has received Jibannagar Sahitya Parishad Padak (2011), Kangal Harinath Majumder Padak (2015) as recognition in literature.
He used to write stories in Weekly Bichitra, fortnightly Shoilee and in the literature page of daily Ajker Kagoj (all of them are now extinct). He regularly writes now for the Prothom-alo, the Shomokal, the Kaler kheya, daily Jugantar and Eid issues of Kaler Kantha and its weekly literature pages.
'Gullianbarry Syndrome and other stories' & novel 'Amader notipota gramer itihash' were published from the Pathak Samabesh, both received great acknowledgement from the readers. Habib touches the enlarged life within the living moment and gives it a framework in descriptive, narrative manner by connecting the moments together in predetermined form. So far, his published books are 16.
